The Llyn is a Peninsula that extends out of Snowdonia. The range of mountains becomes a spine of hill from which little valleys and glades run down to coves and beaches. On one of them is “The Plas” (the wedding venue).  Paths up Snowdon (Y Wyddfa) are only 30 minutes away. And around the coast there are rare birds, seals, a wild sea, and all forms of beaches. Some with cafes, pubs and bars - others (Hells Mouth (actually “Cloudy Bay”) with just nature doing it’s thing.

As you enter the Llyn peninsula on the way to Llandbedrog you will drive through Criccieth, which is worth a visit for swimming, walking and wandering around the Castle.

From the northern route, you can pass by Caernarfon and its Castle, and the Celtic strongholds of Iron Age forts atop Tre Ceiri. Romans, Normans, they’ve all tried, but can’t quite dislodge the ancient language - Da ni Ymma o Hyd.(We are still here OR we are still spellbound. Take your pick)

Tre Ceiri’s current fame though is where Claire said Yes…

From “The Plas” (the wedding venue) you can walk straight ahead and find yourself at the stunning beach.

OR you can walk left across the headland which offers stunning views of the mountains to Pwllheli and pop in to see Huw’s Mum for a cuppa!

Or go right past the iron man, across the headlands to a large sandy beach, highly recommend “The Sandbar” Home - The Sandbar.

Abersoch is the next bay along, originally a small fishing village, a buzzing hub of restaurants, shops, sailing and watersports.
Fancy a swim and a pint?  Porthdinllaen is the perfect spot -  sandy beaches, rock pools, seals, seagrass and the Tŷ Coch Inn on the beach.
